Minimize

Junichi Lockett Jr. is an “Empowerment” speaker, particularly targeting youth and young adult leadership, evident in his book "Soldier Mentality". As a former United States Marine and Iraqi War veteran, he applies his understanding of the importance of establishing a “Mission” to the pursuit of passion and purpose and the consequences of quitting before you can declare “Mission Accomplished.” He has served as the Lead Instructor for the “Images In The Mirror” Leadership Training Program, and currently serves as a Life Consultant for the Gentlemen’s Society. Junichi transfers his deep passion for empowering youth and young adults through promoting the “Soldier Mentality”(also the title of his first book) to life by balancing education, empowerment and entertainment. He further volunteers as a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. he has played an instrumental in promoting empowerment, education and leadership. Voted UT-Arlington’s Chapter NAACP “Most Talented Male,” Junichi seeks to incorporate all his God given talents, including poetry and vocal music, which makes his programs “Edutaining.” After graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he was Political Actions Chair for the NAACP and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, he entered the trenches of public education as an elementary school teacher. Furthermore the “Activist for Success” is a proud father of an active son, Julani, who is a major motivating cause in his “Aggression for Progression” and holds an annual conference (Daddy, I Need You Male Leadership Conference) Ultimately, Junichi would like to reconstruct the education system philosophy from traditional to one that reflects a balance between education, empowerment and entertainment and builds strong future leaders. Junichi expresses “We are not here to toss pebbles, We are here to move mountains.”
